Inspired by the true story of legendary musician Sam Cooke and the incident that birthed the song "A Change Is Gonna Come," Straight Line follows a band of young Black musicians known as "Lost Identity.” When they travel to Shreveport, Louisiana to perform at a local barbecue joint, none of them are quite prepared for the way the night unfolds. Straight Line tells a story of friendship, love, and resilience -- even in the face of injustice.
